BRANSON MO NEWS:

12:27 a.m. — A male subject called to report someone broke into his vehicle parked at Walmart and stole a firearm. A formal complaint was filed.

1:33 a.m. — An officer on patrol advised a stop sign had been knocked down at McCoy and Orendorff. A note was left for the Street Department.

8:03 a.m. — A caller requested extra patrol on South Ash during school hours.

8:34 a.m. — A man called to report someone broke into his unsecured vehicle the previous night while it was parked on East South Avenue. He declined a formal complaint because nothing was missing, but asked the information be noted for future reference.

9 a.m. — A reckless driver was reported northbound on Highway 65 from Quality Feed. Officers were notified.

9:52 a.m. — A caller reported someone camping near the levee east of the weir. An officer said the campsite was unoccupied at the time, so the information was passed on to evening shift. That night, officers advised the 54-year-old man and 69-year-old woman had returned, but they were advised to pack up and move along.

10:16 a.m. — A male subject called to talk to an officer about getting some of his personal property from Walmart after he was cited for shoplifting, but he couldn’t return to the store due to a criminal trespass warning. The officer explained his options.

11:55 a.m. — A woman called to report hearing what sounded like a child yelling for help in the area of North Maple, but an officer didn’t locate anything suspicious after checking the area.

1:39 p.m. — A female subject called to report a man had taken the battery from her father’s truck and threatened her. A formal complaint was filed.

2:50 p.m. — A man went to the HPD to turn in a wallet he found. The owner …
