Thomas Gounley/News-LeaderCorrection: A previous version of this story said there was one alleged victim. There are two. A former Branson special needs educator has been charged with first-degree statutory sodomy and child molestation for incidents involving two students, both 8 years old at the time.Larry J. Pemberton is being held at the Taney County Jail without bond.According to a probable cause statement, Pemberton was employed by the Branson School District at the Branson Cedar Ridge Elementary as a teaching assistant with special needs students during the 2013-2014 school year, when the incidents occurred.The statement says Pemberton admitted to touching the first boy’s genitals in a teacher/employee restroom. The mother of the boy told police she noticed her son inserting objects into his underwear around this time, according to the statement.The second 8-year-old boy told a Branson police detective that Pemberton touched his “body,” which he indicated by pointing to the genitals on an anatomically correct drawing of a male, according to the statement.The statement says the second boy has limited verbal skills and when questioned about the incident became tense …
