SPRINGFIELD, MO. — Communities across the region are holding special ceremonies and celebrations to thank active-military and veterans on Veterans Day 2016.Here are some of the larger events planned:Branson’s 83rd Annual Veterans Day ParadeBranson’s annual Veterans Day Parade will march through Downtown Branson on the 11th hour, of the eleventh day of the 11th month, that’s November 11, 2016 at 11AM.The parade is one of the major events of the biggest Veterans Homecoming celebrations in the nation which runs from November 5 through November 11 every year. The Veterans Day Parade is a long standing tradition that is an inherent part of the way Branson honors Veterans, active duty Military personnel and their families.Waynesville Veterans Day Parade — Hosted by the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce, opening ceremonies begin at 11:00 a.m. and the parade steps off at 11:30 a.m. The parade route begins at Waynesville Middle School and ends at Waynesville City Park.Missouri State University:Veterans Day Breakfast – 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM, November 11, 2016Breakfast begins promptly at 8:00am in the Plaster Student Union …
