The Huntsville-area resident said he toured the museum on a stop along a recent bus tour through Missouri, and was surprised when he ran into a mannequin displaying the very same Naval uniform he himself had worn while stationed in Hawaii between 1967 and 1971.
“I recognized that EM-3 insignia on this uniform on display,” Mr. Kerns said, recalling his experience by telephone.
“I was dumbfounded. I thought, ‘hey, that’s my old uniform.’”
“It was right there on display for everyone to see it.”
