Louis “Lou” Valentine

BRANSON MO NEWS: Visitation was held for Louis “Lou” Valentine, 71, of Reeds Spring, Sept. 21, 2017, at Stumpff Funeral Home in Kimberling City. Services were held Sept. 22, 2017, at Stumpff Funeral Home in Kimberling City, with Jerry Jenkins officiating. Burial will be held Sept. 25, 2017, 11 a.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home in Kimberling City.

Lou died Sept. 16, 2017.

He was born Sept. 1, 1946, in St. Louis, son of Louis and Rose Marie Strubinger Valentine. He had been a resident of the area since 1979, coming from St. Louis. He was a welder in the area before his retirement. He served in the United States Marine Corp.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Kathleen Valentine, of Reeds Spring; sons Christopher Valentine, of Kimberling City, and Tony Valentine and wife Shannon, of Kimberling City; brothers Terry Valentine, of St. Louis, Danny Valentine, of St. Louis, and Scott Valentine, of St. Louis; sister Judy Stackle, of Glencoe; and six grandchildren.
