New CMT pilot to feature Branson reference

BRANSON MO NEWS: News recently broke that “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” star Jane Seymour, who visited Branson earlier this week, was cast in a new CMT pilot called “His Wives & Daughters.” Even though Seymour’s character in the show is set to run her own theater in Branson, the pilot is scheduled to be shot in Los Angeles in January, according to Heather Allison, Manager Corporate Communications for CMT. Should the show be “picked up for a full-series order,” more information will be made available.

According to CMT.com, the show is “a soapy, comedic series” that follows the wives and daughters of fictitious country music legend and infamous womanizer, Eddie Ray Banks. Seymour is set to play Banks’ first wife Lorna, who had a huge solo career following her early days singing alongside her husband. Now one of the most famous women in country music, Lorna runs her own theater in Branson, Missouri, and is “slightly out of touch with reality as a result of being in the public eye for so long.”

Additional casting for “His Wives & Daughters” will be announced soon. CMT is also producing a limited run series centering on the Million Dollar Quartet, which will follow …
