The 14th annual Mardi Gras Krew of Krewe’s Grande Parade in downtown Orange is going to be bigger and better than ever, and the Greater Orange Chamber of Commerce and Orange Convention & Visitors Bureau invite everyone in Southeast Texas to the family friend event titled “It’s a Party” on Saturday, Feb. 18.
The Grande Parade will start at 5:30 p.m. leaving from the City of Orange Riverfront Pavilion and Boardwalk then circle around 10th Street to Green Avenue and then around to Fourth Street. A traditional Mardi Gras Parade with illuminated floats, decorated trailers and Krewe members, including 2017 King and Queen of Celebrations Stump and Dayle Weatherford. Krewe members will be throwing beads, cups, stuffed animals and other trinkets to enthusiastic spectators
Following the parade at 7 p.m., the Bernie Alan Band will perform at the Orange Riverfront Pavilion. Alan is a Louisiana Zydeco phenom from Lake Charles. 
“I grew up listening to all types of music – Cajun, Zydeco, country, reggae, R&B and southern rock,” he said. “I try to put a little bit of the best of all this music into the songs I write.”
