BRANSON MO NEWS: Spring or winter?: Our seesaw weather is amazing and fascinating to Our Town. When the sun shines, it looks like a lovely day for a walk. Step out the door and a winter coat is a necessity. Snow comes without warning, or it’s cloudy and rain pours down. Luckily, the lake and rivers are clear this year and flower bulbs are up. Here in the north, every conversation includes comments about the weather with “spring/winter” emotions. However, we love it and wouldn’t live anywhere else. Why? Our weather is a surprise every day and something to smile or grumble about. Be grateful and take it all in. Psst! “It is what it is!”Tim Lindstrom NBHS speaker April 19: Ever imagine what might have been hiding under the sidewalks along Washington Street from the past? You will find out at the New Baltimore Historical Society’s meeting. When the sidewalks were replaced in the 1990s, Mr. Lindstrom took a metal detector and found innumerable fascinating objects that he is going to share. The place is First Congregational Church, 36223 Alfred St., and the time is 7 p.m. Readers won’t want to miss this interesting presentation. Admission costs $1.
