President to arrive at Springfield-Branson National Airport on Wednesday

BRANSON MO NEWS: President Donald Trump will speak Wednesday in Springfield, Mo., at 2:30 p.m.at the Loren Cook Company, the White House announced Monday.The White House says the speech is a closed event and no tickets will be sold to the public.The president’s visit also comes a little more than a year before Missouri could determine control of the U.S. Senate when Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Administration officials have said Trump plans to hold events around the country in the coming weeks to promote the tax overhaul.Once a swing state, Missouri has increasingly favored republican candidates since John McCain won the state in 2008.Officials at the Cook company invested almost a quarter of a million dollars in Missouri politics in the 2016 election cycle, supporting candidates including U.S. Sen.Loren Cook manufactures fans, blowers, vents and exhaust systems and exports internationally.Loren Cook II and Gerald “Chip” Cook Jr. also contributed to Trump’s campaign.Trump’s stop in Springfield follows a visit Tuesday to Corpus Christi, Texas, where he will survey damage from Hurricane Harvey.President Trump will fly into the Springfield-Branson National Airport at 1:55 p.m.
