Roadshow returning to Seguin

The Heart of Texas Roadshow is returning to the historic Texas Theatre in Seguin.

Steve Tschoepe, who runs the Texas Theatre along with his fellow Seguin Conservation Society members, called the show a “Texas tradition.”

Country musicians Barbara Fairchild, Tony Booth, Tommy Hooker and Seguin’s own, Dottsy are performing in the show on Saturday.

Fairchild has more than 50 years of experience in the music industry and has worked in major country music cities such as Nashville, Tennessee and Branson, Missouri.

“She actually used to live in Seguin some years ago,” said Tschoepe said, “She has made a name for herself in the country industry.”

Dottsy is a Seguin native, who has toured all over the world and made several appearances on the Grand Ole Opry. Booth was the 2011 recipient of the Male Vocalist of the Year award by the Academy of Western Artists, and Hooker has decades of experience on the Texas Dance Hall circuit

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the continued renovation of the Texas Theatre, according to a press release from Heart of Texas Records.
