Showboat Branson Belle

April 6 – TGC Photo says

…we’ve added another new show to our official “I’ve been there” list! Hilarious comedy and magic, feet so fast you couldn’t really see them, music from Disney to the Beatles and pretty amazing food (with singing waiters!) We LOVED the Showboat Branson Belle; it’s an amazing venue and it is always great to see something “new and different” in a Branson show.
With a whole raft of new jokes that kept even my dad laughing, Christopher James‘ humor as MC and magician was a breath of fresh air. And I am still scratching my head over some of the magic presented on stage, including the multiple rope trick, and the straight jacket. (nope, no spoilers!)
Four musical groups perform during the show, each presenting a different style of music. The ShowMen are a five-man vocal group from around the United States, and do selections from movies, musicals, the Beatles, and TV shows.  With her high soprano, Cassandre Faimon-Haygood is known in Branson as having “the voice of an angel” and her selections are hand-picked to showcase those vocal talents. The group Rhythm provides their music with the soles of their feet, doing tap at a speed that is breathtaking. They bill themselves as the “Fastest Feet West of the Mississippi” and it’s easy to see why! The final group, the Rockin’ Dockers, is the house band for the Branson Belle and plays jazz during the meal, as well as providing instrumentals for the groups during the later show.
If you want to tour the ship, you’ll have that opportunity between the end of your meal and the beginning of the show. The red paddlewheels in the rear (sorry, stern!) are worth a look, as is the pilot house with it’s 10-foot solid maple wheel. We found the Branson Belle was steady-as-she-goes during our trip, despite the strong wind on the lake, so don’t worry about getting lake-sick! This was a great way to spend two hours on a Sunday afternoon – we’ll be back!

We sailed on the Branson Belle
And floated on the water.
The food was great, the music cool,
The show kept getting hotter!

With magic ropes and playing cards,
With Rhythm and the ShowMen.
Cassandre’s voice was angel-like
For Disney’s Frozen snowmen.

The Rockin’ Dockers jazzed the joint
And yet we found it tragic
That there was not enough display
Of FunnyHyperMagic!

So we’ll be back on Table Rock
To watch those paddles wheel.
The Branson Belle is on our list…
It really is the deal!
