Children in grades K-5 can spend the day with inflatables, arts and crafts and more to keep them entertained. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and children should come with lunch and a drink. Fees vary by location. The Springfield YMCAs charge $15 per child for members, $20 for non-members, according to a news release from the Ozarks Regional YMCA. Springfield Y locations are the Pat Jones YMCA, 1901 E. Republic Road, 417-881-1599, and the Ward Downtown YMCA, 417 S. Jefferson Ave., 417-862-7456 Libraries will open at 10 a.m.All Springfield-Greene County Libraries will delay opening until 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, due to inclement weather. Republic schools closedThe Republic School District has canceled classes for Tuesday due to the weather but was experiencing problems using its notification portal.  Branson City Hall closed TuesdayTo ensure the safety of all Branson employees and citizens, Branson’s City Hall will be closed Tuesday because of inclement weather and deteriorating road conditions, the city said in a news release. All emergency personnel will be on duty and respond as normal.City crews have been out in full force scraping snow and salting streets, but officials say they anticipate roads freezing over because of the extreme cold weather. Officials discourage any vehicular traffic that isn’t necessary. The warmer temperatures and sun expected late Tuesday will help the salt and chemicals already on the roads, making for improved travel conditions.City employees should direct questions to the directors of their department.
