BRANSON MO NEWS: SEC Media Days begin on Monday, although the Missouri football contingent won’t get going until Thursday. Here’s what Missouri fans need to know about the week ahead.
SEC Media Days begin on Monday, July 16 at 11:30 a.m. ET. They last until Thursday, July 19.
The College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Ga., will host SEC Media Days for the first time. This is a change, as SEC Media Days were previously held at the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover, Ala., for the previous 17 years.
No. They’ll talk like it is, but a ballroom in Branson, Mo., could host SEC Media Days and no one outside of the media (and Alabama/Auburn fans) would care. You’ll definitely see some griping from the SEC Media about not being able to go to Bumpers or On Tap or any of the other fine offerings of suburban Birmingham, but SEC Media Days do not matter and neither does the location.
Glad you asked! Besides Barry Odom, Missouri will be represented by Drew Lock, Terry Beckner Jr. and Terez Hall. When the players break off into their media sessions, expect 65-30-5 split in terms of percentages of reporter in front of Lock/Beckner/Hall, respectively — although I think Hall will be the most entertaining interview of the group.
Also, it should be noted that Terez Hall is from the metro Atlanta area — which might make more sense for his inclusion over Paul Adams or Kevin Pendleton, for instance.
