BRANSON MO NEWS: Memorial visitation for Walter J. Stone, 69, of Branson, will be held Jan. 5, 2018, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson. Inurnment will follow at 2 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield with full Military Honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson.He died Dec. 20, 2017.

Walter was born Jan. 23, 1948, in Waukegan, Ill., son of Alfred W. and Faye Elizabeth Barnett Stone. He was a former employee of Big Cedar Lodge and former Branson City Alderman in Ward 2. He was a veteran of the US Army and had been a resident of the area for the past 40 years.He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Will Stone.
